FAQ
How does therapy work? Can I be fixed?
Therapy is a safe space for you to process and release your inner thoughts, experiences, and feelings. As your therapist, I am not assigned the responsibility to “fix” or “change” you. I encourage you to be your most authentic self during our time together. And in those moments – we are better equipped to identify your opportunities for growth and evolvement. Your success is contingent upon your motivation to become the best version of yourself. I am here to help co-facilitate and guide you through that evolution. With this framework in mind, every client I meet with is unique and different. Therefore, my therapeutic approach is tailored to your individual needs.
How will talking about my problems help?
There are significant benefits in talking with a therapist that can help you in identifying solutions to the questions that plague you. Therapy is completely confidential and a safe space to speak freely without concern of being judged or being treated differently because of speaking of your truth. Therapy can help you to identify solutions, consider new perspectives, teach you new skills/strategies and/or help you to constructively reflect on the choices that impact your life.
How long do I need to be in therapy?
There is a not a specific timeframe that can be pre-determined when entering therapy. As I stated previously, every client is unique therefore the length of time therapy can take is contingent upon your individual goals, personal development and the variables that influenced your decision to seek therapy.
